Beauty and Wellness segment in India is more promising than the US and European market. A report by KPMG revealed that the beauty industry is looking towards a market value of 80,000 crore by 2017-2018.
The program has been designed to provide students a comprehensive understanding of Beauty, Nutrition and Spa.
The students will be able to effectively and efficiently manage the complete value chain of beauty and spa operations and management. For students who aspire to be Salon Spa Directors / Instructors / Educators / Aesthetician / Beauty Advisors / Consultants / Makeup Artist / Hair Stylist / Nail Artist / Hair Colouring Specialist etc.
The students will also be exposed to areas of nutrition in the fields of Weight Management, Sports Nutrition, Therapeutic Nutrition and Wellness Coaching. Dietician / Nutritionist / Wellness Coaches / Slimming Manager / Trainers in the chain of Hospitals, Diet Clinics, Slimming Centres, Gyms, Nutraceutical / Pharma Company Schools, Colleges and IT companies.
The program will also cover subjects such as Natural Science, Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Skin and Cosmetic Science, Aesthetic Treatments, Business Studies, Customer Service and Relations, Spa Therapies, Entrepreneurship Development and Personality Development.
Passed XII (10+2) or equivalent course in any discipline from any recognized Board/Council/University.
There is NO entrance test for B.Sc. Beauty and Wellness Program at SSU. Students have to purchase and fill up application form.
While deciding the eligibility of the Candidates following procedure shall be adopted -
The percentage of marks shall be calculated by rounding off to nearest integer. i.e. if the percentage of marks comes out to be 44.50% to 44.99% then it shall be rounded to 45% and if the percentage of marks comes out to be 44.01% to 44.49% shall be rounded to 44% for deciding the eligibility.
In case the maximum marks in an individual subject is other than 100, the marks will be converted out of 100 for individual subject without rounding, If sum of the converted marks of individual subjects without rounding off works out to be a figure with fraction then fraction up to two decimal places shall only be considered for calculation of percentage of marks considering maximum marks as 300 and, If the percentage comes in fraction, then rounding off shall be done as above to decide the eligibility.
